Outranking & Decision - A new open journal for the outranking community

Do you believe in impact factors?

I do NOT!

And that is the main reason why we (22 colleagues today in the Editorial Board) are launching a new open journal dedicated to our outranking community: Outranking & Decision (O&D): (

Open means that:
All this is made possible by new technologies:
Papers presented at the PROMETHEE Days 2020 meeting are all eligible to be published in O&D.

Dear prof. Bertrand,
Dear Colleagues at the BoE of the D&O;
I hope you and your family are fine and safe from Covid19

I completely stand with Prof. Bertrand's point of view regarding the open-source approach of the journal

I look forward to seeing you all virtually at the eBDs.
Best Regards
Maher Hushaysh

I'm not sure that it is a matter of belief.
Yes, I agree that IF is just one scientometric index that states nothing about the quality of the journal nor the quality of the paper published in that journal. Yes, it shouldn't be so important. Unfortunately, it became the second most important thing among researchers, and many Scientific agencies rank their scientists by it as well as give funding.
In short, I don't believe in it. At the same time, I don't believe in Santa either. But I will not mind receiving a gift from him from time to time.

Dear Ivan,

I am letting my beard grow so that I will be your Santa next Winter ;-)

In the meantime, please take care and make your paper ready for O&D!

Yes, don't worry. The paper needs some time for a final touch and will be ready by the deadline.  8)
